Direct your thoughts correctly and get more out of life!
I have always worked with meditation in some form, but it was during this year that I solidified its importance for me personally. Life took me from the primeval forests of Lapland to the big city of Stockholm where I later came to run a production company. For many years, I lived a life where one day I was doing a fashion shoot, the next I was recording a music video to make a completely ordinary style for a brand that wanted to launch a product on the market. Over the years, I have had the great privilege of developing together with wonderful colleagues. I have usually had some form of leadership role and my biggest vision is not to be a bossy boss, although of course demanding, but more inclusive with a lot of freedom under responsibility. When I meet people who I may hire or in some other way enter into collaborations with, I enjoy the genuine meeting. The meeting between us as people. Regardless of the meeting, I am fascinated by the will to want to try. The will to want to change, the will to want to take oneself seriously and stand up for oneself. At our autumn kick-off with all employees, we agreed, among other things, to try to have the right mindset of affirmation both at work and towards ourselves privately.
An affirmation is an affirmation even if it smells like it. It's so easy to start going through loops in your brain when your inner voice tells you how bad, ugly or unworthy you are. It's not just thoughts that are thought, it's something that is established in your entire body and weakens you. Our challenge to ourselves in our team is to raise our gaze. Instead of harshly stating and focusing on the rather low-set gaze of everything that has been bad and what could have been done better, we choose to raise our gaze and focus on what has been done really well and how we can improve further from that! This is reflected in work and everyday life, meetings with both old and new acquaintances.
At the top of my personal life list is my health. I am absolutely convinced that if I give myself time to exercise and eat right, it contributes to my willingness to think positively about myself and others. Hopefully, this will lead to me becoming a good leader and a wonderful person to be around.
Affirmation I am good.
Take care of yourselves!
