As the icing on the cake, they also have several treatments that you as a customer can take part in, including facial massage, makeup, and even lashes. You can actually find most things here, but what I especially want to praise is their genuine approach to customers, where the consultations are often thorough to ensure that everything is really right. Meet Katarina, one of the founders of Piggabutiken AB and an incredibly talented therapist.
Why organic? How did it start and what made you choose organic?
For us, organic has always been an obvious choice. Even though the interest has always been there, it became on a completely different level when my daughter Vendela was born in 2001, says Katarina. At that time, I skimmed all the products and those of you who have children can probably recognize yourself in this. When we bought the store in Nässjö in 2003, it was obvious that we would stick to natural and organic products. When we then took over another store in Tranås, we felt that the next step was to start a webshop as a way to reach out with our message even further. Everyone who works with us has a genuine interest in organic and then it becomes very natural to choose products that are kind to both people and the environment.
In what way do you think you are making the biggest difference for a greener and more environmentally friendly world?
I would say that we make the biggest difference by setting incredibly high standards for our products. For us, it is not enough for a product to be organic, we look at all aspects. A product that is organic can, for example, be tested on animals or only contain a few percent of natural ingredients that are not enough for us. We want to protect both people, animals and the environment. For us, it is important that environmental work is reflected all the way from raw materials, production, transport and packaging from our suppliers. A work that is constantly ongoing and improved. In our internal work, we also minimize the use of plastic. We choose cardboard boxes and filling materials made from recycled fiber. We also recycle as much packaging as possible.
What is your best advice for someone who wants to make good choices?
I think that as a consumer you should dare to be critical when you make your choices. Is the product really completely organic? How does the manufacturer of the products view animal testing? Ask questions and don't settle until you get the answers you want! The market has completely exploded when it comes to organic products, which is mostly good. However, many companies market their products as organic even though it is actually only a small percentage that meets that requirement. Here the consumer must dare to set high standards. I also think that customers should work with the whole, looking at both the inside and the outside. It is of course great that you are careful with your skin care products, but also think about what you are filling in from the inside.
What ingredients are big no no's for you that you avoid?
We often think that what we put on our skin should also be able to be put in our mouths. The skin is our largest organ and what we put on it is absorbed and therefore enters the body. There are many substances that we choose not to use and we always review the entire company before we start a collaboration so that we can feel confident that they have the same values as us. Right now, many customers are wondering if our products contain microplastics or parabens, where the answer is of course no. 
What is your and your customers' favorite product from c/o Gerd?
Among many great products, everyone can agree that B2 Hair Serum is amazing! In fact, I think everyone who works here has used it and been satisfied. We like the many features it has, that it works well on all hair types and that you can feel the difference!
In the salon, the Cloudberry facial mask is a favorite with many, a mask that nourishes and leaves the skin super soft. Most customers need moisture and customers really feel the difference when they leave our salon. When customers lie down with a facial mask, we also take the opportunity to give their hands a lovely wrap by putting a few drops of Cloudberry facial oil together with the Cloudberry facial mask on the back of their hands. Since hands are constantly exposed to, for example, water and sun, it is important to sometimes pamper them a little extra. You can also easily do this at home sometime a week. Another big favorite is also the new Anti-pollution mask that we use in the salon, a mask that makes a difference!
